Hi Scarlett en Chineida, hoe is de interesse in modellenwerk ontstaan?

Scarlett kreeg voor haar derde verjaardag een iPad. Zij maakte hiermee dagelijks foto’s van zichzelf en haar omgeving en wilde steeds vaker op de foto.

Wat is haar eerste modelervaring?

Kort voordat ze vier jaar werd, organiseerde Nicolette van Dam voor haar ‘Shoeby x Nicolette’ collectie een modefeestje. Scarlett mocht hierbij aanwezig zijn en mocht ook met Nicolette gefotografeerd worden. Dat vond ze zo leuk! Ze zei dat zij dit vaker wilde doen en model wilde worden. Scarlett heeft ook nog een oudere broer en een jonger zusje. Zij willen op dit moment geen modellenwerk doen.

Hoe hebben jullie dat aangepakt?

Eerst hebben wij haar aangemeld bij modellenbureau Hip4kidz. Daar werd zij toegelaten. De volgende stap was een Instagram profiel aanmaken. Aarzelend heb ik eerst 2 foto’s online geplaatst. Daarna zijn wij stap voor stap verder gegaan.

Hebben jullie al succes gehad met haar Instagram profiel?

Jazeker. Op een dag kreeg ik van ‘La Belle- Kids & Teens magazine’ een bericht via Instagram. Ze vertelde hoe mooi en bijzonder ze Scarlett vonden. Na diverse gesprekken is Scarlett uitgenodigd om deel te nemen aan New York Fashion Week 2020.

Zij mocht het merk Littlelady Empire showen op de catwalk. Dit is een exclusief Australisch kinderkleding merk. Dit vond ontzettend gaaf! Ze vertelt er nog steeds vol trots over. Ook kreeg zij in het blad van ‘La Belle kids’ haar eerste editorial.

Is hier een vervolg aan gegeven?

La Belle was heel blij met het resultaat. Daardoor werd Scarlett in juni 2020 ‘Face of La Belle’, dit was heel bijzonder, want ze kreeg 2 pagina’s in het magazine met een korte beschrijving van haar ervaringen en foto’s. Dit magazine verschijnt o.a. in de Verenigde Staten en Rusland.

Heeft Scarlett onlangs nog een shoot gehad?

Begin augustus heeft zij voor Hanka Designs (een nieuw Belgisch kinderkleding merk) model gestaan. Dit vond zij ook heel leuk. En van deze ervaring heeft zij ook weer geleerd. De foto’s van de shoot zijn al te zien op de website van Hanka Designs en op hun Instagram pagina. Ze heeft ook twee nieuwe vriendinnen aan deze shoot overgehouden.

Voor de shoot voor bij dit interview heeft Scarlett in samenwerking met Azzuro Kids, in kleding van Gucci mogen shooten. Gucci is een internationaal bekend high fashion merk, dus dat is wel bijzonder. Scarlett heeft zich aangemeld voor het Dutch Top Model Programma van Iwannabeamodel.nl.

Wat zou jij van ons willen leren met het Dutch Top Model Program?

Voor haar vertrek naar New York, won Scarlett bij Iwannabeamodel.nl een van de prijzenpakketten van L’Occitane en Provence. Zij won ook een model shoot waarbij zij de gewonnen producten mocht promoten. Voor de fashion week kwam het goed van pas dat zij toen ook catwalk training kreeg.

Scarlett zou graag nog meer catwalk technieken willen leren. Ook wil zij meer poses en meerdere gezichtsuitdrukkingen leren. Zij wil dolgraag vaker meelopen met een fashion week. Wij zouden graag willen dat Scarlett met jullie hulp, door exclusieve en bekende internationale merken gezien wordt.

Hi Scarlett and Chineida, how did the interest in modeling arise?

Scarlett got an iPad for her third birthday. She took pictures of herself and her surroundings every day and wanted to be photographed more and more.

What was her first modeling experience?

Shortly before she turned four, Nicolette van Dam organized a fashion party for her ‘Shoeby x Nicolette’ collection. Scarlett was allowed to be present and could also be photographed with Nicolette. She liked that so much! She said she wanted to do this more often and want to become a model. Scarlett also has an older brother and a younger sister. They don’t want to do modeling at the moment.

What were your next steps?

First we registered Scarlett with the Hip4kidz modeling agency. There she was admitted. The next step was to create an Instagram profile. Hesitantly, I first posted 2 photos online. After that, we went further step by step.

Did you already achieve successes with her Instagram profile?

Oh yes. One day I got a message from ‘La Belle- Kids & Teens magazine’ via Instagram. She told us how pretty and special they found Scarlett. After several conversations, Scarlett has been invited to participate in New York Fashion Week 2020.

She was allowed to show the brand Littlelady Empire on the catwalk. This is an exclusive Australian children’s clothing brand. I thought this was really cool! She still talks about it proudly. She also got her first editorial in the magazine of ‘La Belle’ kids.

Has this been followed up?

La Belle was very happy with the results. As a result, Scarlett became ‘Face of La Belle’ in June 2020, which was very special, because she got 2 pages in the magazine with a short description of her experiences and photos. This magazine is published in the United States and Russia, amongst others.

Did Scarlett have had another shoot recently?

Early August she modeled for Hanka Designs (a new Belgian children’s clothing brand). She also really liked this, and she has also learned from this experience. The photos from the shoot can already be seen on the website of Hanka Designs and on their Instagram page. She also got two new friends from this shoot.

For the shoot of this interview, Scarlett was allowed to shoot in Gucci clothes in collaboration with Azzuro Kids. Gucci is an internationally known high fashion brand, so that is quite special. Scarlett enrolled to the Dutch Top Model Program of Iwannabeamodel.nl.

What would you like to learn from us with the Dutch Top Model Program?

Before her departure to New York, Scarlett won one of the prize packages of L’Occitane en Provence at Iwannabeamodel.nl. She also won a model shoot where she was allowed to promote the won L’Occitane en Provence products. For the fashion week it came in handy that she also received catwalk training.

Scarlett would like to learn more catwalk techniques. She also wants to learn more poses and multiple facial expressions. She would love to participate in Fashion Week’s more often. We would like Scarlett to be seen by exclusive and well known international brands with your help.
